I was so happy to hear from Kazuko in Tokyo. She, her mom, cats and other family members are all ok and not personally affected by the earthquake and sunami. It is hard to actually realize the magnitude of the devastation. The death toll is nearly 8,000 I think. How can people bounce back after something so terrible, with whole communities wiped out?
